The residents – Magda Kupryjanowicz, Elżbieta Szurpicka, Małgorzata Biela, and Anna Ptak – presented their project of proposed solutions for the partner, entitled “Ster” (“Helm”). The concept was developed on the basis of a series of participatory observations, including expert consultations with Vaida Opalka, a safety specialist holding a Crowd Management Operator Level 5 certificate in the United Kingdom, and Dr. habil. Leszek Bohdanowicz from the University of Łódź. The residents also held meetings with organizers of cultural and sports events.
The “Ster” project consists of a report and a set of infographics presenting recommendations for changes and identifying areas that require in-depth auditing – particularly in the field of communication among stakeholders involved in event organization, as well as new procedures aimed at improving efficiency and enhancing user experience during events held at Atlas Arena, Sport Arena, and the Municipal Stadium.
The results of the residency were presented in the form of a performance incorporating audience participation and an interactive test conducted in the control room of Atlas Arena in Łódź.
The project is co-financed from the state budget, granted by the Minister of Education and Science under the program “Science for Society II.”
